Well, this is a little late really! It's the 27th January and I am on something of a high from this week, a week fuelled by motivation, determination and The Body Coach!
On New Year's Eve, as is tradition, I set myself goals - things I would like to do, ways to grow my business, things I want to achieve, both personally and professionally and HUGE Blue Sky dreams that I wish to make part of my reality. One of those - believe it or not - was to BLOG on both of my websites much more regularly. Well, without going into too much details, the first few weeks of this year turned into a bit of a topsy turvy nightmare, which meant a couple of weeks respite were needed, before I could truly return to my former ass-kicking self and knock 2017 out of the park!
Needless to say, I set myself a goal of January 23rd and I am BACK! So... what does this year have in store for me...and you? Read on to find out a bit more about where I am at and, of course, some of the awesome thing I am lucky enough to be working on!
I recently posted on Instagram, asking for opinions on what people would like to read on this blog. As much as I think beauty blogs can be a great read and a great way of interacting - I didn't want to saturate the market with product reviews. Luckily, I had some great feedback from insta-friends, that further strengthened my own opinions on what my clients and followers would like to see.
So... what can you expect to read here? Well, I'll be posting more about my projects, my lovely brides, my work with the parlour and my freelance adventures - including shoots and the awesome music video I was honoured to work on over Christmas. I want to use this space to get personable about what inspires me, what work I do and a bit more of a behind-the-scenes glimpse into my daily routine. There will be make up tips, hairstyling tips and a bit of product love thrown in, for good measure, but I do hope you'll enjoy what I have planned - and don't forget to connect with me on social media - all my icons are below, so have a gander and a follow and don't forget to say hi!
MISS PEACH BERRY @ THE LITTLE VINTAGE BEAUTY PARLOUR
As you may know, I have been working alongside Miss Whitley Belle at The Little Vintage Beauty Parlous, at Hopkinson in Nottingham, since November 2016. After our trial run, I am so excited to announce that I will be working at the parlour permanently, on Saturdays to begin with, but building up my days and clientele over the next few months. Emma has been an enormous amount of support during this time and I am SO excited to be working with her - I will continue to be providing hair and make up services to our wonderful clients and will also be offering my semi-permanent eyelash extension service, directly from the parlour. We will be putting an offer on for all clients who wish to book in - so keep checking my social media sites and the Little Vintage Beauty Parlour website for more info!
I will, of course, still be taking freelance bookings and I am SO grateful to have some awesome brides to work with again this year. Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with enquiries - 2017 is looking really busy!! I will shortly be updating my website with some more images and more info on prices and how to book through the parlour.
I have also made the difficult decision to stop offering eyelash extensions as a mobile service - I have a few bookings that will, of course, still be honoured, but all future lash extension appointments will need to be booked at the parlour.
MISS PEACH BERRY STUDIES...
As many of you know, I have been studying Level 2 Hairdressing at NCN Clarendon, since September. The first term has been wonderful - I have met some incredible new friends and made real progress with my study of colouring and cutting. This term I am planning to do more of the same - I post quite a bit of my progress over on Instagram, so check that out for more info!
MISS PEACH BERRY FLIES...
Whilst I have been on a health kick with The Body Coach again, I have really missed going to my weekly aerial class with Kay and Ria at Circus Hub. I am looking forward to starting back next week and making some more progress - not strictly make up related, but I love sharing my aerial fitness journey, as I have made some real achievements and am looking forward to smashing more goals this year!
MISS PEACH BERRY at The Theatre!
After my work on Jekyll and Hyde and Jesus Christ Superstar last year, my love of theatre work has taken something of a backseat, due to time and other commitments. I am involved in a top secret project that will be showing in 2018 - which I can't wait to get started on and I am hoping to dabble in the arts throughout the year too. I will soon be posting a blog about my experience in Jesus Christ Superstar with The People's Theatre Company, I look forward to sharing this with you!
The list, frankly, is endless - I mean, I still havent met Corey Taylor yet and I still havent taken Daisy to Disney World, so there is work to be done!!! I DID, however, start the year off with a bang and changed hair colour to an awesome PURPLE that I am in love with! Since I have been asked about the colour changing process, I will be posting a blog about how I did it in the next couple of days.... so look out for that!
Mostly, I look forward to what this year brings, the new people it brings into my life from both a work and personal perspective. Wherever you are, I hope you have had an amazing start to the year and I do hope you will join me on my hair and make up journey as a professional, as a student, as girlboss and as someone who truly LOVES what they do!
